As a genre focused on elements of horror, death, the supernatural, mystery, and intrigue with an emphasis on dark, pervasive atmosphere, there’s truly no better time to read gothic novels than autumn. With classics such as Dracula, Wuthering Heights, and The Castle of Otranto delivering such rich, atmospheric reading experiences, it’s no wonder why readers continually reach for them when the season changes.
